| The Second Annual Bubba’s Belly Run SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2010 | ![]() |
Welcome back! We are thrilled to announce that the 2nd Annual Bubba’s Belly Run will take place at The Bullis School in Potomac, MD on Sunday, September 26, 2010. This 5k race to honor fallen heroes is in memory of Capt. Brian “Bubba” Bunting, who was killed while serving in Afghanistan in February 2009.
Bubba's Belly Run is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All proceeds go directly toward supporting the families fallen service members. The inaugural Bubba's Belly Run raised over $56,000, and we hope to surpass that amount this year.
Just like last year, flags will be displayed to honor each and every member of our military killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Sadly, the number of flags needed is over 5,600. It costs just $5 to donate a flag that will be displayed in honor of these brave individuals. Please click on the “Purchase Flags” button at the top of the page to make your secure donation.
There are many ways to support Bubba’s Belly Run in addition to participating in the run and purchasing flags. Monetary donations can be made by clicking here. Sponsorship opportunities are available, and levels of sponsorship can be found here. There are also many volunteer opportunities available for those who want to participate without running.
Thank you for your interest in Bubba’s Belly Run. See you on September 26, 2010!
